Session Two in our Injury Prevention Series will be focused on the lower body. This session is for everyone! Athletes and desk jockeys alike! We will discuss common injuries from toes to hips. Our goal in the series is to make sure you know how to assess and address your movement so that we can avoid injury, missed training sessions, and hopefully even surgery! Discussion of any current pains or history of injuries relevant to the series
Where are you now: prehab or rehab
Tension vs. position and developing better Mobility
When/why/how to stretch
Understanding of the nervous system: Compensation, tightness, weakness, and the importance of the NS in prehab/rehab
Threshold training
Understanding proprioception of the feet and it’s role in big ROM
Understanding torque chains and how to train them appropriately
Building a training program for the future you
